Labor Day Musing

Breaking away from my days of the week titles; change is a good thing, right?

Randomness of the day:  Kid wakes up later than usual, stumbles down stairs, and asks what is the plan for school.  Dude, it is a holiday!  He perked up and had a renewed sense of energy.  Oldest was able to attend a "Seniors Hike"; he was thankful to be able to go!  Husband was more than happy to grilled meat, for the second night in a row!

My joy and thankfulness goes more like this:

• sunshine again today
• bacon, cheeseburger for dinner
• walks around the neighborhood
• homemade vanilla ice cream
• minimal driving
• working on "Welcome" sign again

Sunday

I am starting to see a trend!  When I dont have a lot of chitter chatter, before my thankful list, I am plugging in the spday of the week.  There wasnt anything profound or aha moments today, just life and it was mostly enjoyable.

• sushine
• grilled steak and potatoes for dinner
• errands, which equals hanging out with 2/3's of the guys in our house
• getting most of need stuff for co-op (starts this Thursday)
• geeting step count in, after about 10 days off

Sunshine, Breezes, & Hobbit

No ground breaking statements to open up today's list.  Just the beauty of the day, it being Friday, a good night sleep.  Know I should be moving and getting things accomplished.  Sitting and pondering sure has been nice though.  Nothing deep, just being; savoring the moment.

Warm Weather . . . .

 while waiting for snow.  Seen the possiblity for Winter weather on Thursday!  Truly hope it is for "real"!  We are due and we are ready.  In the mean time, has been nice to air out the house, get the plants out on the deck for a bit of time, dog sunning outside.

• warm weather
• slow morning
• supplies for crafting magnets
• candles, both real (soy based) and battery operated
• overall good feeling all day long
• pulling out the duct tape

 Pink Duct Tape  to mend a school folder.

Yes, it might be cheapr to use new one, but the

tape adds a pop of color!

Plant in green pot is a butterfly bush I saved and bringing

back to life.  Hope it will grow rather large over the spring and summer.

In the plan pot are clover and in the blue is my Rosemary bush.

Beautiful Slowness

That was today, from my take.  Could be considered quite busy from family members. 

The afternoon calendar wide open, nothing pressing, no special meals planned.

• blue skies today ~ way to many gray this year
• time to hang out
• kid playing in the woods
• another kid getting help with school
• leftover ice cream cake
• Green Bay Packers beating Dallas Cowboys

P.S.
I'm behind on my sky scarf!  Been noting the sky but the yarn was getting tangled pretty bad, so I ripped out the first week and have not caught up with the knitting.  Hope to get two weeks knit before the endo of this week.
