Beauty in a Thursday

This butterfly bush almost died.
Managed to save it, winter it indoors,
and safely transpant outside.

Beauty!  Not the Vogue or GQ Magazine type either.  Genuine, from the soul, kind of beauty.  The kind that don't fade, but go brighter as time marches on.  Beauty in friendship, beauty in nature, beauty in routine.  That was the sum of today's experience.  Beauty in in all.
  • cool weather
  • getting back into a local co-op
  • son feeling better
  • walks with Kevin
  • butterfly bush growing well
  • connecting with new friends (lol!  another Jennifer)
What has caught your eye as beautiful?  Simple things, big things, little things?  Care to share?

Labor Day Musing

Breaking away from my days of the week titles; change is a good thing, right?

Randomness of the day:  Kid wakes up later than usual, stumbles down stairs, and asks what is the plan for school.  Dude, it is a holiday!  He perked up and had a renewed sense of energy.  Oldest was able to attend a "Seniors Hike"; he was thankful to be able to go!  Husband was more than happy to grilled meat, for the second night in a row!

My joy and thankfulness goes more like this:
  • sunshine again today
  • bacon, cheeseburger for dinner
  • walks around the neighborhood
  • homemade vanilla ice cream
  • minimal driving
  • working on "Welcome" sign again

Weeks End

Third week of January has come to a close.  Another week marked by the color gray.  Another week to be thankful.
  • walking more again
  • money to buy groceries
  • first donation of the calendar year
  • leftover cake and ice cream
  • bacon with breakfast
